Pete Keating is a lifelong musician and multi-instrumentalist. He has taught individual private lessons on piano, violin, guitar and banjo, and has led a strong local team of youth musicians. He performs locally and regionally both as a solo artist and with several groups, where he writes and performs his original songs in the styles of folk, blues, country and jazz.
Pete comes from a diverse academic background, holding a Doctorate in the field of Audiology and a minor in Music.
Pete's teaching style emphasizes the understanding and application of music fundamentals through listening, observing and reacting, with a goal on developing a lifelong skill and love of music, while learning to perform music with others as a shared expressive language.
He is currently focusing on teaching guitar, banjo, mandolin and ukulele to both children and adults.
